Exterior & Style
Critics have installed on the Cruze set on the top shelf of small car design. Although the design input came from the subsidiaries of GM worldwide, the Cruze is the first use of the global architecture of the company's small cars, the end result is consistent, elegant and modern without being on the edge . From the other side, the Cruze features a gently sloping line down the shoulder combined with its 2685mm wheelbase comparatively long and wrinkled front fenders and doors to create a purposeful stance. The prominent chrome grille with its large Holden logo plus the wraparound headlights are very elegant. In the rear, the look is clean and clear taillights have large modern double circular lighting elements. In the CDX as our test car, alloy wheels 17 "contribute to a more elegant appearance.
The Interior
Once again it is a global collaboration of GM and Rebecca Christianson, Holden's chief designer for color and the Court recorded a lot of frequent flyer miles between Australia and Korea during the development phase and led to a class. It has excellent leather seats finished with contrast between the filling and reinforcing. It is finished with French seam stitching and combine with the rest of the finish finish to provide a true feeling of high quality. Rear seat passengers enjoy the nice sculpture and a 917mm surprising legroom. The sound system is an array of six speakers with four internal amplifiers, an in-dash CD, MP3 format is similar in temperament. Vital information is presented in a simple, easy to read three-dial cluster. Luggage capacity is a useful 400 liters.
Driving
Holden usually strong, the CDX Cruze made mincemeat of our mountain test route with frame very well balanced and precise steering. In motion, the five-speed manual was soft it was providential, as we work hard to keep the Cruze ... Cruise NO and in fact we were pushing hard through the twists and turns and enjoy the good information provided at both front and rear. Refinement levels were generally high, although there was a little more noisy suspension railway crossing Melbourne and the famous tram track
Conclusion
With a house in Germany, the global design teams and engineering based in South Korea and testing of prototypes in the UK, USA, Canada, Sweden, China, Korea and Australia, the term "World Car 'is certainly applies to this new small car. The entrance to the Cruze family starts at $ 20,990 for the CD and CDX $ 23,990. This is competitive when you buy from rivals - the Ford Focus sedan, the Toyota Corolla, Mitsubishi Lancer and the Nissan Tiida. But it is a perfect mix-stand in the exterior and interior features. And Cruze earned the highest rating of five stars in ANCAP.

BMW Megacity: An Electric Drive, Podlike Two-Seater
By 2013, you might drive BMW’s up-next Megacity- an electric vehicle! Needless to say, it’s a concept that will drive you off your feets. The image itself is exciting and wild, and getting me crazy. However, details are a little scarce at the moment but the Megacity is expected to draw from a rear-mounted electric motor. Stay tuned.
Pundits have always analyzed that soon we will have cities with more than 10 million people. So automakers are looking at ways to reduce the automotive footprint. General Motors has shown its EN-V, for Electric Networked-Vehicle, a podlike two-seater for the megacities of 2030. It is currently being demonstrated at the Expo 2010 world’s fair in Shanghai. Even Ford showed its Start concept car at the Beijing auto show this year. The Start is built of composite panels on a metal frame, with a shape that recalls the New Beetle and Mini Cooper.
And now BMW have something amazing in store for us (the wheels are driving me mad indeed). I guess designers have started plannig new types of vehicles for the world’s congested metropolitan areas. Even the United Nations estimates that the population of cities, now 3.2 billion, will rise to 5 billion by 2030. And by 2050, the U.N. projects, 70 percent of the world’s population will live in cities.
In briefings this week, BMW mostly discussed the car’s materials and technology. But Adrian van Hooydonk, director of BMW Group Design, also talked about the MCV’s design. In a telephone interview, he said the Mega City would be part of an entire new BMW subbrand. The challenge, he said, is whether BMW “can produce a car that is both sustainable and premium.”
BMW knows how to create premium products. “They are highly emotional, with refined materials and high level of attention to detail,” Mr. van Hooydonk said. “But there was a belief that premium and sustainable could not go together.”
The company assembled a special group to speed the project to completion. “We put a team together of 15 exterior and interior designers, together with engineers, he said. “If you want to create something very new in a short time frame you have to have everybody sitting together.”
“It is sometimes hard for designers to get their heads around the change,” Mr. van Hooydonk said. He added, “The chance to work on such a new formula is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” The Mega City Vehicle is imagined not simply as an in-city errand hauler, but as a commuter car. “In the beginning of the program we asked, what does ‘megacity’ mean?’” he said. “What kind of people will drive this car? What will they do everyday?”
He noted that while “many people are looking forward to zero-emission cars,” some worry about the vehicles’ range and their safety. “Many are afraid they will have to give up coolness or sense of style,” he said. “People fear that a responsible car might look ugly or weird.”
To find ways to reassure them, Mr. van Hooydonk said, the designers looked not so much at other cars as at other sustainable products, from food to furniture. Most sustainable products involved sacrifice; BMW’s design team did not think people would be willing to sacrifice much with a car.
The MCV looks sportier than most electrics. The front end is short, but the dynamic sweep of the roof and beltline (the line that runs below the side windows) keep it from being podlike. “It will look stable and solid on its wheels,” Mr. van Hooydonk said.

Ford Fiesta 2011: Six-Speed Dual-Clutch Automatic
Just two weeks more to go for the all new 2011 Ford Fiesta. No doubt the Fiesta subcompact is one of the more keenly awaited cars arriving in the U.S. market. Ford announced finally that the deliveries of the first Fiestas to its dealers will be available starting two weeks later.
Ford Fiesta has also made winning points for styling, equipment, and performance before its launch. The Fiesta is Ford’s first high-volume European car to be sold in U.S. However, Ford said that the deliveries are postponed up to two weeks, blaming the delays on storm damage to railroads in northern Mexico. So eager buyers and test drivers will have to take a breath and wait for just a little longer.
Many dealers already have waiting lists for the 2011 Fiesta, which starts at $13,995 but can go well over $20,000 if lavishly optioned, leading some to wonder whether Ford’s expectations for the Fiesta are too high.
The 2011 Fiesta offers one engine, a 119-horsepower 1.6-liter four cylinder, fitted to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic that Ford calls “PowerShift.” Two body styles are available, a five door hatchback and four door sedan. Fitted with the five-speed, the Fiesta is rated at 29 mpg in the city, 38 mpg highway. The PowerShift automatic gives 30 mpg in the city, 38 mpg on the highway. For ultimate fuel economy, a special SFE package boosts highway fuel economy to 40 mpg.
For North American markets, the Fiesta is assembled at the huge Ford complex in Cuautitlan, outside Mexico City. That means all Fiestas for the U.S. market get packed onto train cars and hauled north.

Filear has got some crazy news for all General Motors owners. According to its latest findings, now your one key could operate to program a replacement keyless entry remote for up to four vehicles. Even better, when the battery goes down, remotes may require to be re paired with the vehicle. Now press and hold the DOOR unlock switch
While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF for 2-3 times
Take care if the door lock clicks after the second ON, OFF cycle do not do it a third time
Release the DOOR unlock switch.
Now the doors will lock and unlock one time to confirm the program mode is activates
Concurrently press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button on one keyless remote for approximately 15 seconds
The above step will help you to confirm the programming of the transmitter (the doors will lock and unlock)
